Quality Program Analyst - Level 1

Position Summary – The Analyst I, Quality Programs works as an analyst for New Jersey Innovation Institute’s (NJII's) quality reporting programs; such as: the Practice Transformation Network, the NJII Qualified Clinical Data Registry, and the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System Registry. The Analyst I, Quality Programs will work directly under the supervision of the Service Line Manager or Director. The Analyst I role is responsible for both client-facing communications and consulting work on assigned service lines, as well as participating in assigned projects relating to internal operations and NJII products and services.

Essential Functions –

  • Serving as the primary point of contact for project tasks assigned by the service line Director relating to Quality Reporting Programs;
  • Analyzing, evaluating, and documenting program requirements and revisiting requirements as program changes are made;
  • Identifying additional requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual clients and with other stakeholders in a position to understand service requirements;
  • Provide consulting, education, and technical support directly to clients;
  • Work with internal staff to identify areas of improvement in current operations, and work with senior staff and supervising managers to implement improvement actions;
  • Lead and participate in the development of relevant tools and processes related to assigned projects; 
  • Assist in the coordination and integration of project team efforts;
  • Analysis and reporting on project performance measures;
  • Coordinating and facilitating meetings, webinars, and conference calls with external customers and/or stakeholders, and internal committees;
  • Producing meeting materials, working with senior staff to obtain appropriate project guidance; 


Additional Functions –

  • Serving as a team leader in ad-hoc workgroups or taskforces, when needed, and with guidance from senior staff and supervising managers to complete thorough and accurate assignments;
  • Support and mentor new staff and interns in project-related areas;
  • Participating in interdepartmental or cross departmental activities, including providing program-specific expertise when needed.
  • Draft and distribute meeting minutes to NJII key contacts and clients
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management


Prerequisite Qualifications –

  1. Education/Degree Required - Bachelor’s Degree at an accredited College or University required


  1. Years of Experience Required - Minimum one (1) year of experience in the healthcare industry or quality-related job function.


  1. Knowledge/Skills Required
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiar with new healthcare quality reporting regulations (e.g MIPS, MU Stage 3, CPC+)
  • Requires effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work directly with customers and clients
