Quality Program Analyst - Level 3

Position Summary – The Analyst III, Quality Programs, combines his/her healthcare systems data analytical skills with project implementation experience and subject matter expertise to support New Jersey Innovation Institute’s (NJII’s) highly sophisticated quality reporting products and service lines, including but not limited to Accountable Care Organization (“ACO”), Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (“DSRIP”), and other value based solutions. This position will be accountable for assigned projects and will work closely with the project team, application development team, and large customers to ensure each project’s success.

Person Reports To – Service line Manager or Director

Supervises – May supervise Analysts and/or Project Assistants

Essential Functions –

  • Project Management: assist and support the Project Manager with the creation and management of project plans for assigned projects
  • Lead Product Implementation: Analyst will lead in the implementation of the electronic data capture tools utilized in Measures Management service lines
  • Lead Data Analysis: Analyst will lead in data analysis and reporting of the clinical quality related metrics on assigned projects.
  • Lead Customer Facing Communicator: The analyst will serve as the lead project liaison between NJII and the clients on assigned projects.
  • Business Analysis: Will conduct business process analysis to identify key business needs, issues and/or gaps and documenting requirements for implementation.

Additional Functions –

  • Serve as a team leader in ad-hoc workgroups or taskforces, when needed, and with guidance from senior staff and supervising managers to complete thorough and accurate assignments.
  • Report project performance metrics and other updates to supervisor and project stakeholders on a weekly basis using designated PM tools.
  • Support and mentor new staff and interns in project-related areas.
  • Participate in interdepartmental or cross departmental activities, including providing program-specific expertise when needed.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing: Assist with the implementation, testing, and acceptance of new Use Cases of NJII’s Highlander Capture Module
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Draft and distribute meeting minutes to NJII key contacts and clients

 

Prerequisite Qualifications –

  1. Education/Degree Required - Bachelor’s Degree at an accredited College or University required

 

  1. Years of Experience Required - Minimum of five (5) years in healthcare or population health management.

 

  1. Knowledge/Skills Required
  • Technical implementation of Clinical Quality Measures
  • Working knowledge of the product development lifecycle, including: requirements development and analysis, application development, QA testing and UAT, and production releases
  • Value Based Healthcare Programs such as: Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) and Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP)
  • Possesses technical, operational knowledge and experience in complex customer-facing projects related to clinical data integration and quality improvement
  • Ability to manage and analyze large and complex data sets
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of and experience in implementing Project Management principles and methods
  • Technical project documentation
