Clinical Quality Specialist

Position Summary – Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Operations the Clinical Quality Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of transformation activities for participating clinicians and transformation coaches.  The Clinical Quality Specialist will also assist with data submission and reporting as assigned. The CQM will also be responsible for achieving measurable results as well as validating achievement of performance improvement goals.  Serves as a resource to transformation coaches. The incumbent must be able to travel approximately 30% of the time to participating practices and conferences


Person Reports to - Director of Clinical Operations


Essential Functions

  • Provides support to and monitors participating practices through TCPi five phases of transformation
  • Leads planning, hosting, and presentation of PTN learning activities, including but not limited to collaborative webinars, and podcasts to drive performance improvement.
  • Develops GPTN’s calendar of learning events quarterly and ensures execution of events
  • Engage participating provider in peer learning activities under discretion of the Medical Director
  • Identify and share best practices and success stories to achieve improvement
  • Provide direct technical assistance to participating practices in collaboration with the transformation coaches
  • Participate in and provide contribution to CMS reporting of narrative and overview ports regarding transformation activities and practice transformation


Additional Functions

  • Assists and supports in summarizing and disseminating experience-related learning by way of team updates, written reports, and presentations as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned



Prerequisite Qualifications

  1. Education/Degree Required

Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other healthcare field. Advanced degree preferred.


  1. Years of Experience Required
  • A minimum of three (3) years healthcare-related experience.


  1. Knowledge/Skills Required
  • Knowledge and understanding of NCQA, CMS, and State and Federal regulatory processes
  • Ability to analyze data and create performance improvement plans
  • Skills with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
